Pleasant Hill Elementary's kindergarten students and their parents enjoyed a special afternoon, Thursday, November 15.

Parents were invited to an old-fashioned pie social! The event was complete with lots of Pilgrims and Native Americans who paraded for the parents and sang a Thanksgiving song.

Following the performance, parents and students shared some pumpkin pie. The Parent Resource Center concluded the afternoon with a brief presentation concerning motivating children.

Title I would like to thank Mr. Bugby, our music teacher, for helping find a song and practicing it with the students and our PTO for their support.

A special thank you also goes out to our kindergarten teachers, paraprofessionals and grandmothers, Mrs. Phyllis Evans, Mrs. Bette Ritchie, Mrs. Becky Miller, Mrs. Shelly Mace, Mrs. Nancy Yoak, Mrs. Melanie Garrett, and Mrs. Nancy Taylor.

Thank you all so much for making such wonderful costumes for the students. They looked adorable.
