The staff and students of Pleasant Hill Elementary participated in Operation Christmas Child again this year.

Operation Christmas Child is an international relief project dedicated to giving children in our country and other countries a small gift during the holiday season.

Each class "adopted" a boy and a girl child. Students brought in items to fill two shoe boxes. They also brought in money donations to cover the shipping and handling of the shoe boxes.

We would like to especially thank parents for giving so generously to this effort. We would also like to thank those who donated the time to wrap the shoe boxes and deliver them. We feel this is a very important and worthwhile cause and value everyone's involvement in the project and appreciate all of your continued help in trying to teach our students the importance of giving to others.

We hoped to gather enough items for 26 boxes and we exceeded that goal by collecting 35 boxes to send to children in our own country and around the world.

Thanks again for such a great effort!
