A group of Pleasant Hill Elementary students (pictured above) read aloud to someone at least 10-15 minutes every evening during the month of October. Students tracked their reading on a calendar provided by Title I.

At the end of the month students turned in their calendars and a random winner was chosen from the group to pick out a prize. October's winner was Cierra Miller (pictured left).

Congratulations to all of our Title I Readers of October.

Title I will organize this reading incentive program each month of the school year. We hope to increase the number of students participating each month. Research has shown that students who practice reading will become better readers. We hope to encourage more of our students to become Title I Readers of the month.

If you would like to become a Title I Reader for November and did not receive a calendar, please let Mrs. Ratliff or Mrs. Parsons know. It is not too late to join November's club.

Some students were not pictured due to absences.
