Ethel Fosteen Hughes Bell, 82 - South Parkersburg

Ethel Fosteen Bell, 82, of south Parkersburg passed away Nov. 10, 2007, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Ocie Gainer Hughes.

Ethel was retired after 37 years at Cloverdale Meat Packing; had attended Pleasant View Baptist Church; and was a loving mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Loretta Bayer of Parkersburg, Billy Bell (Pat) of Belpre, Robert Bell (Sharon) of Belleville, Roger Bell (Peg) of Washington, W.Va., Wayne Bell (Sherrie) of Parkersburg and Betty Beck of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren, Teresa Martin, Lisa West, Billy Bell Jr., Rebekah Bell, Scott Bell, Brian Bell, Melissa Almond, Samantha Bell and Sarah Bell; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Ellen Starcher of Parkersburg.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bell; two grandchildren, Susan Edwards and Delbert Wayne Bell; five brothers, Leo, Orville, Mansel, Denzil and Jesse Hughes; and three sisters, Dolly Miller, Eathel Hughes and Dorothy Reynolds.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Loyd Winans officiating. Burial will follow in the Snider Chapel Cemetery at Annamoriah, Calhoun County. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
