Jacqueline Shamblin, 46, of Wallback, died Friday, November 2, 2007, at Big Springs. She was born May 28, 1961, in Spencer, the daughter of Effie Summerfield Lockney of Big Springs and the late Jackie Perrine. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Lockney. Jacqueline was a certified nurse's aid. She was formerly employed by the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale and the Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Center, Charleston. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, General T. Shamblin of Wallback; one daughter, Melissa Shamblin of Spencer; one son, Jeremy Shamblin of Corpus Christi, TX; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Donald Norman of Big Springs; six grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 5 at 1 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Michael F. (Mike) King officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday.
