ST. MARYS WHACKS RED DEVILS 36-29 - Both Schools Play-Off Bound, St. Marys Fan Dies

St. Marys defeated the Calhoun Red Devils (8-2), their last game of the season tonight at Mt. Zion, but the Red Devils are still bound for the Single A Playoffs.

St. Marys beat the Red Devils 36-29, and will also be in the play-off competition.

Calhoun suffered a big set-back by St. Marys running attack.

It was a big defeat for No. 4 ranked Red Devils by the No. 12 St. Marys.

If Calhoun had won, two playoff games would have been played at Mt. Zion, but reports suggest a local play-off game could still happen.

The game was delayed about 20 minutes when St. Mary's fan Jim Buzzard collapsed in the stands died of a heart attack. He was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by Calhoun EMS.
