WOMAN DEAD IN NICHOLAS SHOOTING - A woman is dead and a man injured after a double shooting Wednesday in Nicholas County.

The shootings took place in a double-wide mobile home along Route 82 near Birch River Elementary School.

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Dispatchers say the man was taken by helicopter to a hospital.

The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

911 CALL ALERTS POLICE ABOUT MURDER-SUICIDE - A Berkeley County man called 911 Tuesday and told the dispatcher that police would find two bodies inside his home.

Police showed up within three minutes, saying they believe the man murdered his wife and then took his own life.

The bodies of 32-year-old Brant Kitzmiller and 28-year-old Tessia Kitzmiller were found in the back bedroom of their home near Martinsburg.

Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Lt. Gary Harmison says Kitzmiller shot his wife three times with a 9mm handgun. Then he shot himself.

Lt. Harmison said officers did find the couple's two children sleeping. The 6-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy were unharmed.

The bodies have been taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office.

BLUEFIELD MAN DEAD OF GUNSHOT WOUND - The shooting reportedly happened at 3 a.m. Wednesday in Bluefield.

Officials say 32-year-old Donald Lamont Greene died from a single bullet to the chest.

Bluefield Police charged 52-year-old Ronald Finney of Bluefield with first degree murder.

They say drugs were involved in the shooting.

An eyewitness helped make a quick arrest.
