SHARI JOHNSON STARTS NEW JOB - Smith Will Be New Magistrate Clerk

(11/01/2007)

Calhoun magistrate clerk Shari Johnson is leaving her position today to work on substance abuse and education in Calhoun County.

Courthouse employees gave Johnson a luncheon and gifts on her last day.

Johnson, who has worked in the local magistrate system for 14 1/2 years, will be working full-time helping children at Calhoun-Middle High School and with adults who have a substance abuse problem.

She will be employed by the Youth Force program, and expects to continue working on a community corrections program for the county and region.

Gary Smith, who has been with the Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) in Grantsville for about 25 years, has been employed to replace Johnson.
