DELINQUENT TAX LIST COULD BE RECORD

It may be a record number of delinquent taxes that goes on the auction block this month on the courthouse steps, according to Trevia Fulks, Calhoun's Chief Tax Deputy. "It is really a long list this year," said Fulks. Nearly $73,000 is on the delinquent list, Fulks said, which includes fees. The list has been published twice. Certified letters have been mailed, she said. The sale is set for November 21st on the courthouse steps at 10 a.m. Fulks says the public can see the Calhoun Sheriff's web page to check their 2006 taxes at Calhoun County Tax Inquiry Make sure the inquiry is for 2006.
