Tim Davis performs taste-testing on apple butter The Calhoun County Wood Festival Apple Butter Stir-Off and special Fall events went on without a hitch Saturday at Wayne Underwood Field. The event focused on the making of apple butter, and there was an apple pie contest. Sharon Pitts won the pie contest with this delicious entry Jim Sullivan perfects the chicken (left) while Rev. Rick Metheney provides stirring labor (right) There was a number of special events throughout the day and evening, including a Chicken Bar-B-Q and Halloween costume parade. An auction benefited the Coleman and Katheryn Burrows Memorial Fund. Wayne Underwood Field provided the space for a variety of entertaining events
