MINGO MAN DEAD - One man is dead and another wounded following a shooting in Mingo County early Monday morning.

The Mingo Sheriff's Office say the shooting happened at a house in Wharncliffe between 3:30 and 4 a.m.

Authorities say that Charles Trammel showed up at the house of his ex-wife to confront her boyfriend, Charles Baisden of Gilbert.

Officers say that Trammel shot Baisden, and then turned the gun on himself. Both were airlifted to a Huntington hospital.

Trammel, who is from Gilbert, died about 8 a.m.

Chief Smith with the sheriff's office says Baisden is in critical condition at a Huntington hospital.

The ex-wife was not injured.

HUNTINGTON MURDER - An arrest has been made in a murder that happened in Huntington.

Police say a stabbing happened around 1:30 Tuesday morning at Holderby's Landing at Harris Riverfront Park.

Police found a 35-year-old man near the flood wall, having been stabbed several times.

Charged in the murder is Dennis R. Mills, who is in custody. The victim's name has not been released.

DEADLY DOMESTIC DISPUTE - A murder investigation is underway in Monroe County. West Virginia State Police and Monroe County sheriff's deputies are looking into a domestic dispute that turned deadly Tuesday.

State Police say a woman was killed on Creamery Road, off State Route 22 just outside of Greenville.

Child Protective Services was called to the scene. The agency was there to remove three children from the scene.

Police say they are investigating the incident as a murder.
