UPPER WEST FORK PARK GETS $12,000 UTILITIES GRANT - Commission Applys For Walking Trail

The Upper West Fork Park has been awarded a $12,000 grant to install water lines and other utilities to park facilities and the Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department.

The improvements will be in conjunction with the proposed public waterline that extends up Rt. 16 from Arnoldsburg and ends at the park.

The grant was issued by Gov. Joe Manchin as a 2007 Community Participation Award through the WV Development Office.

The grant will be approved by the Calhoun Commission, with the contract for the project expiring June 30, 2008.

The Commission has also been moving forward a grant for a walking trail for the park.
