HENRY L. STURM - Grantsville

Henry L. Sturm, 76 of Grantsville, WV died September 29 at Mark Care Rest Home, McConnelsville, Ohio.

He was born August 10, 1925 in Calhoun County a son of the late Fred, Sr. and Geraldine Burrows Sturm. He was retired from the Pennzoil Company and was a US Army Veteran of WW II where he served in the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Grantsville where he served on the Board of Trustees.

Surviving are his wife Geneva, whom he married August 1, 1943 and a daughter, Rebecca Ann Engelke and her husband Robert of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, Erika Butt of California and Jason Butt of Alabama and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Mildred Cunningham of Akron, Ohio and his brother, Deon Sturm of Citra, Florida; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ershel Sturm and Fred Sturm, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church of Grantsville. Reverends Mike Worf and D.L. Kerby will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mt. Zion, WV. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
