An altercation on Wolf Run near Orma landed two men in Central Regional jail last week.

State Trooper 1st Class J. B. Hunt arrested James Scott Starcher, 21, of Weston and his step-father Bobby Allen Hively, 32, of Orma, after they reportedly engaged in a fight.

Starcher told police that Hively had "grabbed his younger brother... that it looked like Hively was pulling his brother over a couch and that they were going to start hitting each other."

Starcher told the officer, the report said, that "he [Starcher] grabbed Bobby Hively from behind by his head and arm to keep them from fighting."

The report says Starcher said the two men engaged in wrestling on the kitchen floor.

A statement said that Hively and his wife Tammy had been arguing, that "Hively had been throwing (his wife's) beer cans outside as she got them from the refrigerator..."

Hively, according to the report, got in a scuffle with a 17-year-old in the house, a brother of James Scott Starcher.

Tammy Hively, according to the youth, had to break up the encounter between her husband and his step-son. The report says she told officers her husband and step-son had started hitting each other.

Officer Hunt said he observed blood in the kitchen and living room area.

Both Starcher and Hively were taken into custody, the report saying each party had visible signs of injury.
