JONATHAN STARCHER IS LIKELY UNKNOWN BODY

The decomposed body of a Calhoun man found last Wednesday along the West Fork River at Altizer is still at the State Medical Examiner's office. State Police Sgt. J. E. Skidmore of the Grantsville Detachment told the Parkersburg News Monday "We have a subject unaccounted for and the family is searching for a (Jonathan) Starcher, 25, of Arnoldsburg. He had been reported missing by the family and has been gone since August 25." Sgt. Skidmore told the Parkersburg News that officials believe the death likely was a suicide. "That is a very strong possibility right now," he said. The Medical Examiner will likely make a positive ID.
