ARNOLDSBURG LIGHTS ON CELEBRATION – Mountain Stage's Ron Sowell To Perform

(09/20/2001)
Submitted by Dan Cosgrove

On Monday, October 1, Calhoun County will celebrate Lights On! with a performance by the Wheeling Symphony. On Tuesday, October 2, Arnoldsburg will have its own celebration with a spaghetti dinner and entertainment at the school.

The dinner will be from 5 - 6:30 p.m.. Ron Sowell of Mountain Stage will perform immediately after the dinner. Sowell will entertain both children and adults with songs, stories and skits. He has played with the Mountain Stage Band, and is currently their music director. He is working on a children's album , due out in December, and can be seen this fall on PBS. He is a dynamic performer and is sure to be a crowd pleaser at our kick off celebration.

While the event is free, reservations are required. Students will be bringing home a sign-up sheet for this event. Others in the community should reserve a place by calling the Lights On! office at 354-7595. Deadline is September 21.
