MARKS-POLING FAMILIES HAVE REUNION

This was the first time the family got to attend the annual reunion. Jean was a daughter of Theodore Groves of Crooked Run, Orma and she is a sister to Thelma Hall Submitted by Janet Marks The annual Marks-Poling reunion was held Saturday, July 21 at the Mt. Zion Community Park. A covered dish dinner, auction, games, fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all who attended. L-R: Junior Poling, Mabel Marks and Guy Poling, the last living children of Dave and Orpha Poling Connie McCartney, auctioneers with help from sister, Barb Bush. It sure looked like Connie enjoyed her job Connie Marks, Peggy Hall, Shelby Marks and Norma Nicholas enjoy lunch The kids played games Francie Malson and Greg Collins. Francie did a good job selling 50/50 tickets. The pot was won by Don Rutledge of Lanisville, Ohio, who donated it back to next years reunion fund Trenton Marks was the high bidder on this basket at the auction Brothers Bill and John enjoying a game of horseshoes
