FORTY COMPLETE HUNTER SAFETY CLASS

Heads Up, the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, along with the Department of Natural Resources sponsored a Hunter Safety class on Monday and Tuesday, July 9-10, 2007 at Calhoun Middle-High School.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1975 must successfully complete a Hunter Safety Class in order to purchase a hunting license. The instructors for the class were Ron Seabolt and Terry Cummings.

Forty individuals completed the ten hour class which included wildlife management, safe gun handling, game care, first aid, survival, specialty hunting and wildlife identification.
