Caroline J. Merrion, 84, of Chloe, died Friday, July 6, 2007, in the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale. She was born February 10, 1923, at Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Yost Degler. Mrs. Merrion was a retired seamstress and a Protestant. Survivors include one son, Harry L. Merrion of Chloe; and two grandchildren. Cremation service has been provided by the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
