GORDON PLEADS NOT GUILTY

Former Grantsville Police Chief Ron Gordon entered a not guilty plea before Judge David Nibert in Calhoun Circuit Court Tuesday. Gordon is accused of sexually abusing women under his supervision while he was the Grantsville police chief and the home confinement officer for Calhoun County. Gordon was represented by Ernie Skaggs, with Tom Kirk as the special prosecutor. A trial is being scheduled for this fall. The state granted parole for Alfred Rose. Dennis Cottrill entered into a plea agreement with the state. Christina Vandal was given probation. A status hearing for the re-trial of Ronnie Rush is scheduled for August 3 in Jackson County.
