| Police reportedly staged a marijuana plant seizure near Rt. 7 between Russett and Stumptown Friday.
Sources at the scene said a helicopter made several fly-overs above wooded areas along Steer Creek-Rush Run, indicating marijuana was spotted in specific areas.
Local residents indicated a large number of marijuana plants were confiscated by officers.
Several officers including the WV State Police participated in the search and seizure.
State Police Public Affairs Officer Sgt. J. C. Powers did not respond to a request for public information.
