Opal E. Weaver, 89, of Washington, W.Va., died July 2, 2007, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Spencer, W.Va., a daughter of the late A.S. and Emma Susan Harris Reynolds. She was formerly employed with Kellwood Manufacturing, was still an active member of Roane County Belles and a member of Washington United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, David C. Weaver and wife, Pat Nicholson (formerly of Calhoun), of Sunbury, Pa.; one daughter, Barbara A. Curry and husband, Richard, of Washington, W.Va.; one brother, Charles Reynolds of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Deborah Weaver, Kathy Cantrell, David Weaver, Allen Weaver, Mark Curry and Linda Townsend; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Weaver.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. David Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
