Minnie Hamilton Health System is pleased to announce a new program targeting healthy lifestyles.

The 5-for-Life program is free of charge, and will meet on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. at MHHS. Participants will receive a variety of materials to assist them in losing weight and making healthy lifestyle choices.

Topics covered will include the plate method, suggested physical activity, knowing your numbers (cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate) and other topics that will enable you to successfully lose weight while enjoying your favorite foods.

Teresa Ritchie, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, will be assisting the group, offering different tools for success.

The program will run in 12-week cycles. For more information on 5-for-Life, please contact Barb McKown or Carolyn Lemon at 354-9244.

In addition to the 5-for-Life program, a new cycle of Weight Watchers classes is being offered at Minnie Hamilton Health System.

Instructor Carolyn Lemon says, "We have a really good group right now that can offer encouragement for those who would like to join."

The classes are held every Monday evening at 6 p.m.

To sign up or for more information, please call 354-9244 and ask for Carolyn Lemon.
