MT. ZION MAN ARRESTED FOR GRAND LARCENY

A Mt. Zion man is in Central Regional Jail, charged with grand larceny. Brian Lamp, 24, allegedly stole jewelry from his sister, Sandra Osborne, according to a criminal complaint filed by Calhoun Deputy Sheriff Justin Metheney. Osborne told police she believes Lamp took a $1,083 wedding set and other items from her jewelry box. Officials reported Lamp pawned one of the items at Duck's Pawn Shop in Spencer, and reportedly attempted to sell another to an individual. Lamp could be facing one to ten years in prison and up to a $2,500 fine. His bond has been listed at $5,000.
