ALUM CREEK SHOOTING - Vincent White, 34, of St. Albans was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital from Alum Creek with a gunshot wound to the pelvis.

White was an acquaintance of the shooter, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's office.

Gene Ratcliff, 24, of Louisa, Ky., was arrested on suspicion of obstructing, after he was found leaving the area. He originally told police his name was Gene Van Horn.

PULLS KNIFE AT STORE - Michael David Petry, 30, went into the Speedway on Campbell's Creek Drive in Charleston and pulled a knife out and asked the cashier for money.

Kanawha County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Campbell's Creek man, accusing him of threatening a cashier at Speedway with a knife.

Petry fled the scene on foot, the complaint said.

Petry was arrested on charges of brandishing a deadly weapon and trespassing. He is being held in South Central Regional Jail.

CHARLESTON MAN FOUND - Desmond Clark, 20, was arrested in Charleston after police had been searching for him for months. Clark been on the run since March when he cut his tracking bracelet and violated home confinement.

He has been on the run since March on a series of charges ranging from violating a home confinement order to attempting to stab a former girlfriend.

He was charged with one felony count of unlawful malicious wounding and a misdemeanor of violating a home incarceration order.

Clark has a significant arrest record in Charleston.
