EMERGENCY CALLS KEEP AGENCIES BUSY

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire on Hog Knob Hill at 12:30 p.m., a large rolled-bale was burning.

The Arnoldsburg VFD answered a call at 3:59 p.m. to Arnoldsburg Elementary School where personnel smelled smoked. Firemen could not find the cause of the smoke, suspecting a ballast in a light.

An erroneous report at 4:09 p.m.. the caller said they spotted two vehicles over the hill on the left fork of Sycamore. A response was made by the Grantsville VFD, Calhoun EMS and the Calhoun Sheriff's Department. They found nothing.

The Arnoldsburg VFD answered a call for assistance on Sand Ridge Hill at 4:23 p.m. after a parked motorcycle fell over on a woman, catching her foot. She did not require medical care.
