Blanche M. Jones, 85 - Spencer

Blanche M. Jones, 85, of Spencer, died Friday, June 8, 2007, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.

She was born June 29, 1921, at Sun, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Wesley and Florence Dotson McCormick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jones; one son, Randall Critchfield; two brothers, John and Andy McCormick; four sisters, Alice Grass, Mae Elkins, Marie Murdock and Georgia Smith.

She had worked for several years in different restaurants in the Spencer area and she was a member of the Spencer Tabernacle.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Jack Roach of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren, Bob, Stan and Dan Roach all of Mineral Wells and Anita Roach of Parkersburg; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Rebekah Roach.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Garry L. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.

Friends may call Saturday, June 9 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
