Mildred M. "Mick" Nicholson, 79, of Belpre

Mildred M. "Mick" Nicholson, 79, of Belpre passed away Friday, June 1, 2007, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Leatha Lane Mace. She was a beautician in Parkersburg for 43 years and owned and operated Millies' Beauty Shoppe. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Parkersburg and was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine in Parkersburg.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Nicholson of Belpre; two granddaughters, Kim Urban and husband, Mark, of Russellville, Ky., and Cheryl Church and her husband, John, of Vincent, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Jon and Sarah Urban and Trace and Jaide Lydick; two brothers, Junior Mace of Clinton, Ohio, and Darrell Mace of Arnoldsburg, W.Va.; one sister, Edna Bowers of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Bernie Nicholson, whom she married May 16, 1951; a daughter-in-law, Linda Nicholson; two sisters, Maude Smith and Ruth Mace; two infant brothers; a half sister, Audrey Midcalf; and a half brother, Eugene Nutter.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Ave., Belpre, with Pastor Harvey Greathouse officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Belpre. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
