SUGAR CAMP WOMAN INJURED - Yellow Creek Accident

(09/10/2001)

A pregnant Sugar Camp woman, Virginia Vandale, 21, was injured in a single-car accident on Yellow Creek Road, Monday morning, about one mile from Route 5 near Big Bend. The Vandale vehicle apparently spun out of control on the rain-slick road and came to rest against a hillside.

Vandale's mother, Martha Vandale, 43, was uninjured in the 8:30 a.m. accident.

Calhoun EMS took the woman to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center for treatment.

The Grantsville VFD also responded. Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee is investigating.
