THREE ARRAIGNED IN CIRCUIT COURT

At least three individuals were arraigned yesterday before Judge David W. Nibert in Calhoun Circuit Court in Grantsville.

Matthew Clay Bell, 22, of Creston, was arraigned on three counts of daytime burglary and three counts, willfully setting fire on lands.

Gary Paul Ferrell, 49, of Big Bend, was arraigned on one count, possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts, wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

Sarah Cain, 29, of Orma, was arraigned on welfare fraud.

All three are scheduled for a court appearance on June 11.

George Nicholas Parsons, who was picked up in Wood County related to his failure to appear, was in court yesterday, his bond was set at $50,000. He is being held in Central Regional Jail related to burglary and sexual assault in the 1st degree.

Former Grantsville Police Chief Ron Gordon, 57 made a first appearance to receive a copy of an indictment against him, related to nine counts.
