NOTHIN' LIKE PLAYIN' IN THE MUD - Wood Fest's ATV-Truck Bogs Will Draw Crowds

Last year's festival bog had extra challenges
brought on by rain, but after all, mud is the game

Lots of specialty vehicles participate
in the truck bog along with local trucks

It's the ultimate redneck event, mud boggin' and it's returning to the Calhoun Wood Festival.

The mud events bring out a lot of entrants and a big crowd.

The Wood Festival Truck Mud Bog will be held Saturday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at the Industrial Park, sponsored by Ullum's Oil and Gas, Furr's Auto.

Special trucks and lots of locals will participate in the event.

"This year's bog will be a points race," according to Angie Hersman, with Toby Wagoner emceeing the event.

The ATV Mud Bog will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the Industrial Park, sponsored by Ullum's Oil and Gas and Furr's Auto.

Admission to both events is $5, with children under age 5 admitted free.
