COUPLE ARRESTED FOLLOWING HOME INVASION - Woman Taken To Roane General

Police responded shortly before 6 a.m. today to US 33/119 at Pink Road after individuals reportedly broke through a door and entered a residence, after which an altercation reportedly occurred. The intruders accosted one or more occupants of the dwelling, including a 25-year-old pregnant female who was reportedly kicked in the stomach and suffered a broken hand. Calhoun EMS took the woman to Roane General Hospital for treatment. Calhoun Deputy Sheriff Justin Metheney arrested Jason Brell Knight, 28, and charged him with domestic battery, destruction of property and nighttime burglary. A female subject with Knight, Jillian Natasha Dunlap, 27, was charged with destruction of property and nighttime burglary. Both are in Central Regional Jail. Knight's bond is set at $7,000 and Dunlap's bond at $6,000. State Police from Spencer also responded to the scene.
