Arthur Vanhoose, 47, of Oak Grove, Tennessee, passed away May 4, 2007 at North East Baptist Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky. Born in Knotts County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Alvin Vanhoose and Matrina Baker. He was a horse trainer at Churchill Downs, Louisville, Kentucky. Surviving are a son, Damion Vanhoose of Cleveland, Ohio; 3 brothers, Gilford Vanhoose of Grantsville, WV, Keith Ross of Prestonsburg, KY, David Amburgy of OH; a sister, Peggy Lopez of Ft. Campbell, KY; nephews, Gilford Vanhoose, Jr., Travis Dean Vanhoose, Michael Lynn Ross, Mitchel Paul Ross and Jeromy Lopez; nieces, Krystal Lynn Vanhoose, Jasmine, Jessica and Jordan Lopez, and Monica Ross. Graveside services were held Thursday, May 10 at the Big Springs Cemetery, Big Springs with Rev. Matt Morrison officiating. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville was in charge of arrangements.
