Wirt County resident Clint McFee killed this turkey that was carrying a little "extra baggage." The
gobbler was strapped with a West Virginia Division of Natural Resources
(DNR) radio transmitter.
In 2005, the turkey was captured by the WV DNR as a juvenile, fitted for
the transmitter, and released.
At the time it was harvested by Clint, it weighed 20 pounds, had a 10-inch
beard, and 1-1/8-inch spurs.
