Born at Clarksburg, WV, he was a son of the late Jesse A. and Mildred Marshall Jackson. He was a retired US Navy Petty Officer First Class with thirty years service.

Surviving are a brother, Jesse Jackson of Big Bend, WV and a sister, Virginia Hosey of Portsmouth, Ohio, four nieces and a nephew.

Graveside rites will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville, WV. Reverend Mary Zimmer will officiate. There will be no visitation. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
