L-R - David Lee, Hanna Law, Jade Nichols, and
Jeremiah Postalwait at Hanging Rock, Monroe County

Ansel Payne's biology seminar spent an April weekend hiking in the mountains of West Virginia and Virginia, looking for birds and enjoying the views.

Jade Nichols, David Lee, Jeremiah Postalwait, and Hanna Law hiked up Peter's Mountain in Monroe County and Spruce Knob Mountain in Pendleton County.

The group spent the night at the Mountain Institute near Circleville and watched raptors and vultures from the Hanging Rock Observatory.

Ansel Payne, Norma Myers, and Miss Savanna Lyons of Fayetteville accompanied the group during the trip.
