| Ira D. Hathaway, Jr., 88, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away April 26, 2007 in McConnelsville, Ohio.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Ira (Dock) Hathaway and Bertie Sturm Hathaway. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was a retired employee of the Wood County Board of Education.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Allen Hathaway and 2 daughters, Pam Hathaway of Parkersburg and Jenny Hathaway of Holland, Michigan; a son, Ron Hathaway of Parkersburg; 1 brother, Frank Hathaway of Grantsville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by Spencer American Legion Post 21.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. |
