FLEEING SUSPECT CHARGED WITH BURGLARY |

![]() A Calhoun man has been arrested by the State Police on a burglary charge, related to incidents on Bryner Road a few weeks ago. Matthew Bell, 22, who fled into the woods Thursday night to avoid being arrested, is now in Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bond. Police combed a wooded area near Pleasant Hill Thursday night, without locating the suspect. Bell was a suspect who reportedly entered the Richard Kirby residence, in addition to another property, along rural Bryner Road. Firemen responded to two brush fires, allegedly set by a person associated with the crimes. Firemen found a backpack, oil and fire crackers, reportedly hidden in leaves and State Police reportedly interrogated Bell who was on foot near Joker.
