Robert David Hannah, 79 - Grantsville

Robert David Hannah, 79, pf Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away April 19, 2007 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center following a long illness.

Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Clinton and Ina Bennett Hannah. He was a retired engineer for Consolidated Natural Gas Company with 35 years service. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville. He was a former Calhoun County Constable and served as a Grantsville Councilman.

Surviving are a daughter, Sheila Hannah Rivenbark and husband Mike of Bolivia, North Carolina; a brother, Argel Hannah and his wife Elsie of Vienna, WV; 2 grandchildren, Crystal Carson of Hamstead, NC, and Christopher Rivenbark of Rocky Point, NC; 2 great grandchildren, Blake Rivenbark and Chas Carson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia Lee Hannah and Edythe Johnson, and a brother-in-law, George Johnson

The family expresses their deep appreciation to Karen DeImperio for being such a good friend to "Hannah" and to the staff of Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center's Long Term Care Unit for their kindness and care.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. C.W.McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Grantsville.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
