STREAMS OUT OF BANKS - No Major Flooding

Heavy rain has been sweeping across West Virginia, causing small streams to be out of banks.

The West Fork is half-way across the road, Rt. 16 near Rush Run and Orma, at 2:30 p.m.

The Little Kanawha River is up, currently at 26.57 feet, expected to crest Monday at Grantsville at 32.79 feet. Flood stage is 36 feet.

The LK at Glenville is expected to crest two feet below flood stage at 23 feet.

Tonight:

Rain showers likely in the evening. Cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Little or no snow accumulation. Lows in the mid 30s. West winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Monday:

Cloudy with a slight chance of rain showers. A chance of snow showers in the morning, then a slight chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Breezy with highs in the mid 40s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

Monday Night:

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Breezy with lows in the lower 30s. West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation 20 percent.
