WAYNE UNDERWOOD FIELD FOR PUBLIC USE - User Guidelines Given

Wayne Underwood Field is dedicated to multi-purpose community activities related to the recreational and social needs of the citizens of Calhoun County, both young and old, including sports activities, recreational opportunities, social gatherings, special events, and other activities that would engage and enhance the lives of its users.

Residents using the field must sign a User Agreement, which requires the payment of a small fee for use of the field, or the opportunity to donate to the up-keep of the facility.

USER GUIDELINES: Wayne Underwood Field

The Calhoun County Commission shall designate a service group to manage the day to day operation of the field, OR appoint a committee of five citizens to do likewise.

The designated managers will be responsible to develop a list of RULES and REGULATIONS for all users of the field.

The designated managers will ask every user of the field to sign a USER AGREEMENT which hold that group or individual to following the RULES and REGULATIONS, and requires them to:

1) pay a user fee

2) in lieu of a user fee, donate maintenance work or improvements to the field.

3) The designated managers will appoint one person to schedule all events at the field.

4) The designated managers will be responsible for the general operation and maintenance of the field, including fundraising activities for its continued operation.

5) Issues of concern or unresolved problems that occur with the operation of the field can be addressed to the Calhoun County Commission.

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE USE OF THE WAYNE UNDERWOOD FIELD

No metal cleats on the walking track at any time

Joggers/runners, bicycles, skateboarders, roller blades or roller skaters will yield to all walkers, respect others at all times and the field property

No lawn chairs or any folding chairs on walking track

No alcohol, drugs or tobacco use within the confines of the Field

No motorized vehicles within the confines of the Field

No fighting or profanity

No vandalism or littering

No moving of picnic tables or blocks

Clean up after your pet

Trash in trash cans and trash bags are to be put in dumpster

Not responsible for personal property of Field users

Not responsible for accidents

At times when Field is reserved, other users must respect the rights of the party having the reservation; at all other times, all users shall respect the rights of all other users to the use of Field facilities. Persons violating these rules are subject to be excluded from the Field
