CLAY WOMAN DIES FROM FIRE

(04/13/2007)
An elderly Clay woman has died from burns she received in a house fire this week.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal's office says Rosalie Keen suffered burns on about 80 percent of her body.

Keen was flown to the Pittsburgh Burn Center where she died.

. The woman was reportedly able to get out of her burning house, and was discovered in the front yard.

The fire knocked out phone, Internet and 911 service in three different counties.

There was a major explosion as firemen fought the blaze.

Investigators say Keen was a known smoker and used oxygen, but they did not know if either played a role in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
