(04/13/2007)

The Bluegrass Bandits will perform Saturday evening at the Bear Fork Trading Post.

The Bluegrass Bandits is a Braxton-Gilmer County, West Virginia, bluegrass band formed in 2003.

Band members are Jerry Allen of Burnsville on guitar, Carol Edwards of Copen on fiddle, Jerry James on banjo, Anna James on bass and Cody James on mandolin, all of Normantown.

Fifteen year old Cody has been playing mandolin since age 7. He has had the opportunity to attend Augusta Heritage workshops in Elkins for the past 3 years and hopes to continue. His attendance has been possible through tuition scholarships from the Bluegrass Preservation Society and the Augusta Heritage Committee.

Bear Fork Trading Post is along US 33-119 between Arnoldsburg and Glenville. Doors open at 6 and music starts about 7. Admission for adults is only $5. There is always plenty of good food available.
