Danny Carmel McCumbers, 60 - Rosedale

Danny Carmel McCumbers, 60, of Rosedale, Braxton County, West Virginia, passed away April 9, 2007 at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio.

Born in Braxton County, he was a timberman and was a member of the Rosedale Community Center, was active in the Rosedale Apple Butter Festival and many other community affairs.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Kathleen K. McCumbers and 2 daughters, Dannielle (David) Lilly of Garrettsville, Ohio and Nichole (Richard) Cottrell of Rosedale; a son, Jason McCumbers of Rosedale; his father Eugene Bennett of Rosedale; and his birth father Carmel Childers; sisters, Nina Cook of Rosedale, and Barb Pidilla of Texas; brothers, Larry Bennett, Doyle Bennett, and Marvin Bennett all of Rosedale, Eddie Childers of South Dakota and Randy Childers of Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Zack Lilly, Chelsie McCumbers and Gabby Cottrell; special Papaw to Brennen and Shane Newsome, Isaac and White and Kaylie; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kowalski of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Bennett and a daughter, Dawn Marie McCumbers.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the Mill Fork Community Church. Elder Larry Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in the Mill Fork Cemetery at Rosedale.

Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
