"LAST CALL" FOR FIREFIGHTER MORFORD

(04/04/2007)

It's a somber moment when a 911 dispatcher utters "The Last Call," for a deceased member of a fire department, emergency service member or law officer.

Yesterday, the last call went out to Jim Morford during his funeral. Morford was the long-time Community Service Manager for the Department of Health and Human Resources in Calhoun, Gilmer and Wirt Counties.

His son, Lucas is also a member of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department.
