Students from Pleasant Hill Elementary traveled to Glenville State College Wednesday, to enjoy a superb performance by the Glenville State College Percussion Ensemble.

The performance lasted about an hour and was filled with some familiar and some new, but all exciting songs. Students twisted in their seats to the beat.

Based on the crowd's explosion of applause, one could say the most favorite song performed by the ensemble was, Rascal Flatt's remake of "Life is a Highway" performed in the movie Cars, starring Lightning McQueen, who made an appearance in lights during the song.

The students were introduced to a variety of percussion instruments and the mallets used to strike them.

Pleasant Hill Elementary would like to take this opportunity to thank the GSC Percussion Ensemble for inviting them to delight in such a wonderful performance. It was a great experience for the students.
