Freda Perdue, 62 - Dublin, Georgia

Services for Freda Perdue, 62, of Dublin, were held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Springdale Baptist Church. Burial was in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Wilkes and Rev. Al Soles officiated.

Mrs. Perdue was born in Ritchie County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late James Carl Williams and the late Amy Tingler Williams. Mrs. Perdue was a member of the Early Thursday Bowling League. She was an avid fan of Dublin Irish Football and Wrestling. She was also a tennis enthusiast. She was an employee of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center for 24 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi, who died at birth. Mrs. Perdue died Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, H.F. and Marsha Perdue of Dublin; daughter, Amy of Mableton; brothers, Wilford (Violet) Williams of Big Bend, W.V., Gayford (Glenna) Williams of Parkersburg, W.V., Bernard (Sharon) Williams of Parkersburg, W.V. and Roydice (Sue) Williams of Grantsville, W.V.; sister, Erma (Arthur) Yost of Bartlett, Ohio; stepchildren, Mandy (Sid) Jessup of Watkinsville, Craig (Kim) Perdue of Orlando, Fla., Brent (Carla) Perdue of Baltimore, Ohio and Bana Repp of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Adam Perdue and she was expecting one grandchild from Amy; eight stepgrandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.

Charles Warnock, Ricky Scott, Steve Ashley, Ernie Brimacomb, Harvey Padgett and Ted Bland will serve as pallbearers. The Dublin High wrestling team will serve as honorary escort.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mary Jane Spivey, 216 Waverly Drive, Dublin, Ga. 31021.

Townsend Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
