Signature Hospital Corporation has received state approval to acquire St. Joseph's Hospital from LifePointe Hospitals.
Brentwood, Tennessee-based LifePointe and Dallas-based Signature Hospital had announced the deal in September.
The state Health Care Authority approved Signature Hospital's purchase of the 325-bed Parkersburg hospital Thursday.
Signature also owns Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, Texas; Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas; and Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas.
