$14,000 HEIST OF OXYCONTIN - Police say it was a stroke of luck that they pulled over a man matching the description in a pharmacy robbery at the Marmet Rite-Aid.

Police pulled over a car in Chesapeake for having a burned out tail light. During the traffic stop, they recognized the man in the car as the suspect pictured in the store's surveillance video.

They said he was even wearing the same hooded sweatshirt.

Police say the man traded the $14,000 worth of OxyContin for crack cocaine. He's being charged with armed robbery and his wife is being charged with illegal possession of a prescription drug.

KANAWHA MAN GUILTY OF SHOOTING WIFE - A jury found a Kanawha County man guilty of killing his wife, convicting Mark Thomas Coleman of first degree murder with mercy in the death of Trina Coleman.

He shot his wife last March.

Trina Coleman's family cried as the verdict was read, saying they feel like a burden has been lifted.

Coleman faces life in prison with the possibility of parole in 15 years.
