Gary "Bub" Roberts, 65 - Millstone

Gary "Bub" Roberts, 65, of Millstone, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 5, 2007.

Born in Calhoun County he was a son of the late Lane and Gladys Putnam Roberts. He was a retired employee of GTE and was an employee of Babcock Lumber Company of Glenville, WV. He was president of Lick Run Hunt Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Sue Jarvis Roberts; two sons, Kevin Roberts and his wife Lachelle "Boo" of Arnoldsburg, and Keith Roberts and his wife Cheryl of Millstone; three daughters, Kelly Cottrill, and Kristy Carder both of Orma, and Kathy Conley and her husband Richard of Mt. Zion.

Also surviving are one brother, Delmas Roberts and his wife Judy of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, June McDowell and her husband Clayton of North Carolina, and Jean Carte and her husband Joe of Cottageville, WV; nine grandsons, Joshua, Michael, Chad, Coty, Cory, Jonathan, Jeremy, Kameron, and Christian; four granddaughters, Brooke, Sara, Kayla, and Caitlin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a foster sister, Dorla Heater.

He was a devoted father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Interment will be in the Roberts Family Cemetery at Millstone.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 9.
